As one of the most passenger friendly moves, now locating different trains position on real time will be much easier and passengers will be able to get there exact time also.
Railways have launched online application Rail Radar, an interactive map on Google enabling passengers to track train movements across the country.
Travellers can access this facility over their mobiles and laptops also. Application has been developed by a Railway PSU Centre for Railway Information System (CRIS) with RaviYatri a live tracker of all passenger trains traffic.
With this the passengers will be able to get over 6,500 trains on a Google map. It has used number of colors to highlight its contents. While the blue will be highlighting the trains running on time, the red will indicate the delayed or running behind schedule trains.
